Why can’t Sentry provide documents?

Why can’t Sentry provide documents?

Why can’t Sentry Management provide access to the documents?

Sentry Management manages certain POA activities on behalf of the current Board, which operates under Declarant control during this phase of the community’s governance. The question of exactly which POA and Board records members are entitled to review, and under what CCR or bylaw provisions, is one Coosaw Futures has flagged for review. We don’t have a confirmed answer yet, so rather than state a conclusion, we want to be precise: this is an open question we are actively working to get a documented answer to, and we will share it here as soon as we do.

This is a simple question with many layers. Accessing community documents such as financial reports, past newsletters, and previous board meeting minutes is challenging given Sentry Management’s web portal. It makes more sense that our community documents would be organized in a manner that makes it easier to search and even receive an email update indicating something new has been posted in the portal. The technology exists. Additionally, the information posted is very top-level and lacks depth (i.e., financials show aggregated spending, when at times it would be helpful to know how much was spent on a specific line item, called the Accounts Payable Purchasing Journal). During the last Board meeting, one of our neighbors asked Sentry Management to email updates, and Sentry Management also commented that they are working on an updated web portal; let’s see how the request is addressed.
