WHO WE ARE
Coosaw Futures, Corp. is a nonprofit organization formed by Coosaw Point property owners. We are your neighbors — residents who care deeply about the long-term health, stability, and success of our community. We are not affiliated with the POA, the Declarant, or any builder. We have no governing authority over the community and seek none.
We believe that informed property owners, working together, are the strongest foundation for a thriving community.
OUR FOUR PURPOSES (from our Articles of Incorporation)
|
INFORM |
Inform Coosaw Point property owners on matters of community governance, including the Declarant Control Period, reserve fund adequacy, governing document rights, and the transition of Association control from the Declarant to property owners. |
|
DOCUMENT |
Independently document and preserve records regarding community assets, infrastructure condition, private amenity governance, and Association financial status for the benefit of every Coosaw Point property owner. |
|
ADVOCATE |
Advocate for the informed and transparent governance of the Coosaw Point Property Owners Association in the interests of residential property owners — during the Declarant Control Period and through the full transition to homeowner governance. |
|
PREPARE |
Prepare the Coosaw Point property owner community to successfully assume governance of the Association at Turnover — by developing institutional knowledge, identifying candidates for the board, and building community familiarity with financial and operational complexity. |
|
What We ARE |
What We Are NOT |
|
• Your neighbors • Asking questions we are legally entitled to ask • Requesting transparency and clear communication • Protecting every property owner’s investment • Looking out for our community as a whole |
• Anti-Board or Anti-Forino • Creating Conflict • Attacking board members or individuals • A shadow board or governing body • Seeking to replace the POA |

COMING SOON: THE KNOWLEDGE SERIES
A Knowledge Series is a structured, monthly informational program open to all Coosaw Point property owners, free of charge. Each session focuses on one topic related to how the community is governed, financed, maintained, or structured. Sessions are not debates, grievance forums, or confrontations. They are informational events — grounded in documents, supported by professionals where needed, and designed to leave every attendee better informed than when they arrived.
The concept is simple: most property owners have important questions about how Coosaw Point works, but lack a reliable, organized way to get answers. POA board meetings are limited in time and scope. Sentry Management handles administration, not education. The Knowledge Series fills that gap. It is Coosaw Futures fulfilling its first stated purpose: to Inform.
